On February 1-7, 2023, the World Surgical Foundation Philippines, the World Surgical Foundation, the Philippine College of Surgeons, and Our Lady of Peace Hospital served a total of 140 indigent patients from Metro Manila and other nearby regions. The mission team successfully performed a total of 83 major surgeries, and 57 minor surgeries, all for FREE!
This 2023, WSFP continues to commit to reaching the underserved, both in urban and rural communities, and providing them with accessible and quality surgical healthcare.
The surgical outreach activity was made possible in partnership with the following government and non-government collaborators: World Surgical Foundation, Sun Life Philippines, Parañaque City, City Government of Bacoor, LGU San Pascual, Batangas, Brgy. Surgery for the Underserved Regions and for Education Commission (PCS - SURE), Philippine Society of Anesthesiologists, Inc. (PSA), Philippine Society of Pediatric Surgeons (PSPS), Operating Room Nurses Association of the Philippines (ORNAP).
